This was the site of the old open pit clay mine. I remember getting into big trouble for trespassing into the mine. The huge pit was one of the coolest places in Streetsville as a young boy. They have now filled the mine in and a business park is planned for the new land. Mullet creek runs along the east site and is lined with several new man made ponds to replace the old wet land. I hope next summer the park and ponds are in working order. There is a nice bike paths that run the parameter of the 3 ponds. We got a lot of rocks for our garden. My wife loves to go for walks here.
